Alright, so my Birthday was the 31st of July, so I spent most of my time partying. Thing is though, my Grandpa gave me his old PC that he loaded Windows 7 on.... So now I actually have a fairly decent computer. Only problem is... It blue screens once every 24 hours or so. So right now I'm trying to fix whatever is causing the Blue-Screens.
In even better news, Adobe Illustrator CS5 FINALLY came in the mail today, so now I can FINALLY get started on those 4 projects.
Oh, and just to spice up this blog post, here's a silly picture for you:
Run windows diagnostics on the hard drive and the memory. What does the blue screen say? If you haven't figured out Mr. Ottum is asking me these questions. He said it could be a thousand things... bad memory stick, bad sectors on the boot disc, band connectors in the computer.... He said type whatever the screen says into google and run diagnostics.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and congratulations on CS5.
I've run HP's Hardware Diagnostic and Memtest86+, Neither showing system issues. I've also done a temp measure test, the system does max put temp when doing a task and not being used for long periods of time, but nothing that makes it Blue-Screen. I'm going to do a registry check and double check that drivers are up-to-date, But so far, no luck.
ReplyDeleteI admit that this is making a lot of the stuff I normally do on a computer... Not doable, so I need to find a solution. (Also, let's be honest, it doesin't matter if you save often, you're still gonna be annoyed if you get BSoD' In the middle of doing work. At least, I know I was.)
